Adam draws upon his extensive background in frontline operational, commercial, and advisory roles to offer comprehensive commercial and technical consulting services spanning rail, logistics, infrastructure, rolling stock, technology, and innovation. In 2022, Adam played a pivotal role in shaping national transportation strategies, notably contributing to the development of a National Fleet Strategy for the UK Department for Transport and contributed as a technical expert to the development of a UK wide goal of achieving a 75% increase in rail freight growth by 2050. Recently, Adam showcased his entrepreneurial skills by securing significant seed funding for Varamis Rail's new high-speed logistics venture. His expertise was instrumental in assessing the commercial feasibility of the project, earning recognition from Innovate UK. Furthermore, Adam leads Digital Catapult's Transport and Infrastructure offer. With a profound understanding of the intricate dynamics of the transport ecosystem, Adam delivers immense value to both public and private sector clients alike.

Karen is a highly experienced senior rail industry executive (UK Department of Transport, SNCB) with additional experience in strategic advisory (Steer Davies Gleave Ltd) and as a non-executive Board Director (Thalys and Eurostar). Karen's focus is on strategy and transformation. She has a deep understanding of the commercial challenges faced by organisations in times of social, technological and regulatory change and understands the critical success factors for cultural and organisational transformations. Karen thrives in an environment where value is created benefiting to the whole society, and has a proven ability to work in contrasting international environments having worked in the UK, mainland Europe and more recently in Canada. Karen’s rail sector expertise is enhanced by strong leadership skills, having successfully led complex projects that are part of the UK Government’s Major Projects portfolio (the most challenging projects in the UK) such as the development and implementation of the Greater Anglia franchise competition between 2014 and 2016.

David has extensive international and commercial experience in transport, logistics, ports and rail freight companies. Throughout his career has specialised in business development and marketing, business to business, ports and rail freight operations with confirmed results. Formerly David was the Head of sector intermodal at DB Cargo and more recently is supporting the development of 2 ongoing inland port developments (Iportrail and MIRP) and provides clients with detailed operational knowledge, commercial analysis and strategic planning drawing on his experience of liner shipping, port management and a substantial knowledge of railway operations and infrasrructure. Furthermore, David supports clients with strategy development, process, networks and infrastructure in the UK and abroad to support a growing and more demanding logistics business sector.

Trevor was formerly Senior Vice President, Ground Operations Europe for FedEx Express, having retired in 2023 after a long and exciting career in express logistics. Trevor joined FedEx Express in 1995 as an Operations Manager in the UK and occupied a variety of leadership positions in both international and domestic operations. In his varied career, Trevor was ultimately responsible for the day-to-day ground support to customers and was at the forefront of a number of strategic focus areas for the business and wider industry, including ‘the final mile’, city logistics, smart transportation and sustainability. Trevor is a fellow of the Institute of Couriers and in 2022 received the IoC Services to Industry award. He holds a post grad diploma in strategy and inovations from Warwick University and is currently studying for a post grad diploma in behavioural science. Furthermore, he retains his memership at the Institution of Directors.

Nick has spent the last 30 years minding the gap between the rail industry, local planning authorities and the outside world, helping retailers, manufacturers and logistics companies deliver more freight and interchange facilities to the network. Over the years Nick has a hand in bringing Class 92 locos onto High Speed 1, fresh fruit from Spain, bottled water from France, whisky from Scotland, supermarket goods back to Central London, parcels back onto passenger trains, aggregates from Sussex and Suffolk, timber from Devon and waste from West London, Merseyside and Manchester. Along with supporting the development of 30 new operational railheads, including the iPort Doncaster Strategic Rail Freight Interchange.
